Ahh Idaho.

So after work today (we had a walk-in--so it was a really good day) we went upstream to check out town. Basically everything is closed after 5--but we did pull over to watch some people fish.

We were there for a minute and saw a guy snag a 30+ inch salmon.
But he didn't keep it--it was too small.

Basically--I'm really upset my fishsticks arn't salmon right now :(

BYU...

It is officially summer now. I am in Idaho for rafting.

I am really a BYU student again. I finally got all the holds off my record and am registering for classes.

What am I thinking?

Pop it, lock it, polka-dot it!

I finally saw The Hannah Montana movie. Rose (the mom of one of my cheerleader's and a good friend) and I had made a date to see the movie opening weekend-ish. Though, when it came out I was rafting.

So when I was in Utah on my way back Raylene tried to convince me to see the movie with her. Well, I was being loyal to Rose and didn't. But I really kinda regret it now because--guess who showed up at the theater.-- none other than Miley Cyrus.

Oi! There went my chance to get an in with Taylor. Sad ;(

That's alright. I'm still holding out Taylor will return my myspace message...

Update, part deux

So, I went to Paris for my spring break this year--yes, I know I'm not in school, but I still deserve a spring break. Donchathink? Iknowido.

Despite being quite apprehensive about going with my mom, it was actually a very pleasant trip. Though I never want to go anywhere with a person that doesn't know how to use a digital camera. It stressed me out to no end to not be able to get the few pictures of me that I wanted. While I am more than happy to take them all myself, my mom would get offended when I would not let her take my picture. (It never was my dream to goto Paris with my mom, but she'd never been out of the country, and the opportunity kinda just fell in my lap-- and WHO in the their right mind would turn down a free trip to Paris)

This little street was my mom's find. She liked to take a walk to a payphone and call home to talk to dad (and pay with her credit card, despite my advisement of buying a phone card... it was *quite* expensive) and she did a little exploring too. At least, once I made her memorize our metro stop, hostel name, and carry a flier--and her cell phone. Which was really hard to get her to do.

My emo-classic myspace/paris pic.

We did it! Climbed the stairs :)

This is Marc and Sara-- Sara was the reason we went to Paris to being with. Her little brother is doing an internship and she wanted to visit him.

Notre Dame-- I actually took about a hundred pictures inside Notre Dame (and outside) but not a single picture from inside comes close to accurately depicting it.

The "back side" of Notre Dame--and possible the side I prefer. Notice the park? How awesome would it be to take your kids to play in the park under Notre Dame on sundays.

The great thing about walking around Paris at night is the strobe around the top. You always have a point of reference. (well when you can see the tower at least)

A few pictures from the Louvre-- just some favorites.

My love. Venus.

Perhaps my favorite picture--though my mom could never not make it blurry. Nevermind the fact I did it on my first shot of her.

Update.

Amazingly, I am updating this silly thing.

While I find I actually do a good job of it when I am lonely and missing my friends. Well missing Kim mostly-- I do want to keep it updated in some sort. So I'm making this a fairly eclectic post bringing stuff up to speed.

First--in yet another copy of my sister, my life as mosaic:

1. Quintin Castle, 2. Mexican Hat, Utah, 3. The BYU cheerleaders, 4. The red one, 5. Taylor Swift's Tour Bus, 6. Japanese Dr. Pepper Manga Can, 7. GLI UCCELLI, 8. Gelato, World's Best Ice cream: The Real Reason that So Many People go to Italy. PS What is You Favorite Flavor?, 9. [ S u p e r m a n ], 10. learning to ride a bike , 11. "THE KISS" (on Election Night, Times Square, NYC), 12. Quindi...Multa

To make your own:
step 1: go to flickr.com
setp 2: in another window open http://bighugelabs.com/flickr/mosaic.php
step 3: choose 4 columns, 3 rows
step 4: answer the following questions in the search bar of flicker. pick your favorite one on the first page and paste it into your mosaic
1. What is your first name?
2. What is your favorite food?
3. What school did you go to?
4. What is your favorite color?
5. Who is your celebrity crush?
6. Favorite drink?
7. Dream vacation?
8. Favorite dessert?
9. What you want to be when you grow up?
10. What do you love most in life?
11. One word to describe you.
12. Your nickname.

Now the mosaic i think is cool--but some of the pictures that came up you would never guess from the word I used. And I was tired of looking for better words.

I also went to Paris-- I'll make another post with pics and whatnot later.

The Movie Game

the movie game
I took this idea from Kim's page who stole it from her friend Danielle's Facebook note. Here are the rules:

- Pick 20 of your favorite movies.
- Go to IMDb and find a quote from each movie (memorable quotes link located on the left).
- Post them for everyone to guess (just leave a comment).

1. Character 1: Just you reconsider playing that message for him!
Character 2: [beep]
Character 1: No, I don't think he likes you at all.
Character 2:[beeps again]
Character 1: No, I don't like you either. -Kim

2. I'm obnoxious! -Stephanie

3. Boy: No time to discuss this as a committee.
Girl: I am not a committee. -Kim

4. Look - I find some of what you teach suspect because I'm used to relying on intellect

5. I can be in the NBA. I'm tall, I like to wear shorts. Hook! Hook! Dunk! Dunk! Baby, I'm all about three points.

6. Man 1: Your nose is broken.
Man 2: How does it look?
Man 1: Ah, it's an improvement.

7. Don't have sex, because you will get pregnant and die! Don't have sex in the missionary position, don't have sex standing up, just don't do it, OK, promise? OK, now everybody take some rubbers

8. It's a trap! -Scott (bonus points for citing by whom)

9. So this is how liberty dies... with thunderous applause -Kim

10. You don't want to die, but you don't know how to take a life. Give it to me; these men would kill you, and take it anyway. Give it to me. You can tell 'em I took it by force. Give it to me, and I'll do what you shoulda did ten minutes ago. -Jenny

11. So you like to pick on little guys, huh? Well, why don't you pick on me? -Dumbo

12. Man 1: My son's coming over tonight, so I'm going to have something special made for him.
Man 2: Italian food made by a bunch of Mexicans doesn't sound so special to me, ____

13. Smite me, oh mighty Smiter -Scott

14. Boy: She would be eating if we were having Tony loaf.
Girl: That's it!
...
Woman: Both of you sit down
Woman: Bob! It's time to engage! Do something! Don't just stand there, I need you to.. intervene!
Man: You want me to intervene? [picks up table]
Man: Okay, I'm intervening! I'm intervening! -Stephanie

15. Man 1: I donna suppose you could speed things up?
Man 2: If you're in such a hurry, you could lower a rope or a tree branch or find something useful to do.
Man 1: I could do that. I have some rope up here, but I do not think you would accept my help, since I am only waiting around to kill you.
Man 2: That does put a damper on our relationship -Kim

16. Woman: That boy is your company. And if he wants to eat up that tablecloth, you let him, you hear? And if you can't act fit to eat like folks, you can just set here and eat in the kitchen.

17. But you know, the thing about romance is... people only get together right at the very end

18. Man 1: What in heaven's name brought you to _______?
Man 2: My health. I came to ______ for the waters.
Man 1: The waters? What waters? We're in the desert.
Man 2: I was misinformed. -Kim got it but I had forgotten to edit it and can't figure out how to edit her post without deleting it so it's really only a partial guess :P

19. Girl: What is your sexuality?
Boy: Well, Jan's straight, and I'm... controversial.
Girl: Are you trying to tell me you speak fag?
Boy: Oh, fluently

20: Girl 1: What a prick.
Girl 2: But he was really nice about it.
Girl 1: Being nice when you say something pricky is even prickier -Kim

21: Boy: I think you're really beautiful and I feel really warm when I'm around you and my tongue swells up.
[pause]
Boy: So... do you wanna eat food? -Anna Lisa
